Nanoceramic crystals
Introducing Ceramic Shield. Combination of glass with nanoceramic crystals harder than most metals. Simple, right? On the contrary, because ceramics are opaque. But by selecting the right type of crystals and degree of crystallinity, we were able to develop a formula that gives this material maximum strength while maintaining transparency. It's a breakthrough that has created the perfect layer of Ceramic Shield. No smartphone has had it before. And it is tougher than any glass used in a device of this type.
Dual ion exchange
Durability is important, but it must go hand in hand with scratch resistance. So on both sides, we used a double ion exchange process, protecting the glass back of the iPhone so far from scuffs, scratches and daily wear and tear.
